Mountain Road was shut down for commercial shooting

As a result of the commercial filming that is taking place, the primary route that connects the northern region to the capital of the Isle of Man has been closed to traffic. Beginning on Tuesday and continuing on Wednesday, the A18 Mountain Road between Ramsey and the Bungalow will be closed throughout the daytime hours.

On a daily basis, the road will be closed between the hours of 09:30 and 12:00 British Summer Time (BST) and 13:30 and 16:00. A portion of the Isle of Man TT course will serve as the backdrop for the filming that will be conducted by Metzeler, which is the official tyre partner of the Isle of Man TT races.

The company Motocom, which specializes in motorsport communications and public relations, made the request for the shutdown. This information was provided by the Department of Infrastructure, which stated that alternate routes were accessible via the A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road and the A2 Douglas to Ramsey coast road.

In addition to the Creg Ny Baa Hotel in Onchan, the Victory Cafe, the Snaefell Summit Cafe, and the Snaefell Mountain Railway Station at the Bungalow, the route that connects Douglas and Sulby via the Tholt Y Will Road is scheduled to stay open during the duration of the event.
