A stranger got into a disagreement with a driver in Oregon and shot him in the head, according to deputies. The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on May 9 in Troutdale, according to a Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office news release dated May 21. Deputies say a male was traveling with a passenger at SW 257th Drive and SW 26th Street. Deputies say the two got into an argument with a stranger going down 257th Drive.

The stranger pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the vehicle, hitting the driver in the head “at least once,” according to deputies. Deputies said the passenger assisted the driver in getting to the hospital, where he was reported to be gravely ill.

Investigators are now appealing the public for assistance with the shooting. Authorities claimed at least two persons were walking in the neighborhood during the shooting and may have witnessed what occurred.
