The writer of Blue Mind, Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, regrettably passed away. With heavy hearts, the whole community laments the passing of Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, a friend and advisor for a lifetime. In other words, the Plastic Pollution Coalition would not exist without J. From the outset, he has led, linked, and inspired us. The reason for his passing has not been made public as of this writing. At their own choice, his family will reveal the circumstances surrounding his death.

Concerning Wallace J. Nichols

J was a marine scientist, an ocean and wild water enthusiast, and a fierce advocate for sea turtles. In order to offset the “red mind” stress that many of us experience today, he made it his mission to assist everyone in discovering their Blue Mind, which is a condition of peace, oneness, and motivation to protect and repair nature that is produced by water.

People all throughout the world have been motivated to preserve and repair the seas and other natural regions by his work, which is founded on wonder and connection rather than guilt and fear. Additionally, it has spread around the world and impacted a large number of enterprises, educational institutions, and environmental groups. In his justification, he said that “Blue Mind turned turtle poachers into turtle protectors.” We have proposed him for the 2024 Aloha Award and the 2023 Earthshot Prize in recognition of his exceptional and far-reaching efforts. Right now, Blue Mind is connecting with a whole new generation.

To put it briefly

Dr Wallace thought of the simple act of delivering a blue marble as a way to express gratitude and happiness for our beautiful, fragile, little blue planet. J made contact with more than one billion people through this worldwide art endeavor, including Dr. Jane Goodall, Dr. Sylvia Earle, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His family will make an announcement regarding his funeral services and obituary.
